| History of HBW-Gubesch |
|
From a model making firm to a full-service provider Founded in 1989 by Werner Gubesch as a model making firm, the company grew swiftly and enhanced its range of services consequently throughout the following years. Another important milestone was the decision to join forces with six partners in Wilhelmsdorf and form the ‘QIC Systemverbund Kunstofftechnik GmbH’. The continual growth of the company, which resulted of the close cooperation with its partners ever since, required the construction of an additional company facility in Wilhelmsdorf in 1999. In 2005 the cooperation with the long-term partner HBW concluded in a merge, forming the corporation HBW-Gubesch. HBW, which was also integrated in the ‘QIC Systemverbund’ was founded in 1981 by Heribert Böhm. The merge became necessary as the managing director left to enter retirement. The fusion offers the company significant competitive advantages and leads to further simplification of the internal operating procedures. HBW-Gubesch currently employs about 220 people and generates about 22 million Euros annually. What one person cannot achieve, many of them can. Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffeisen
